REINHART, WOODSMEN SHUT OUT SABRES 3-0

Dec 17, 2024

BLAINE, Minn. — The Wisconsin Woodsmen have faced the Badlands Sabres twice in their
franchise history — and have yet to allow a goal.

The Woodsmen closed out their three-day stay at the NA3HL Showcase in impressive fashion,
getting a 17-save performance from Otto Reinhart en route to their second straight shutout
against the Sabres, this time posting a 3-0 victory Tuesday at the National Sports Center.

Reinhart, picking up his first shutout of the season, stopped six shots in each of the first two
periods, before kicking out all five Sabres shots in the third en route to his second shutout as a
Woodsmen.

And while Reinhart was doing his part on the defensive end, the Woodsmen offense did its part,
scoring twice in the second period and once more in the third to close out the Showcase with a
with two wins in three contests.

After a scoreless first period, Hugh Deinema gave the Woodsmen all the offense they would
need, netting his team-leading 15th of the season five minutes into the middle frame. Tristen
May-Robinson added his ninth of the year eight minutes later, and Joshua Kauppinen rounded
out the scoring with his 13th of the year with 3:36 left in the third.

The Woodsmen, winners of two straight, are back in action this weekend, playing host to the
Wausau Cyclones in a pair of NA3HL games. Both contests at the Tomah Ice Center are slated
for a 7:15 p.m. puck drop.
