WOODSMEN RALLY FOR 3 IN THE THIRD TO DROP JR. BLUES, 5-4

Feb 16, 2025

TOMAH, Wis. — The Wisconsin Woodsmen got back on the winning track on Saturday — but it
was anything but easy.

The Woodsmen erupted for three third-period goals — including the game-winner by Tristan
May-Robinson with 2:11 to play in regulation — as Wisconsin rallied for a hard-earned 5-4
NA3HL victory over the St. Louis Jr. Blues at the Tomah Ice Center.

Wisconsin, which dropped a heartbreaking 6-5 decision to the Jr. Blues on Friday — found itself
staring at a 4-2 deficit heading into the third period on Saturday, managing just a pair of
second-period goals by Hugh Deinema and Brandon Slasor, while the Jr. Blues netted a single
goal in the opening period and three more in the second.

The third period, however, belonged to the Woodsmen.

Viktor Budik single-handedly pulled the Woodsmen even, scoring back-to-back goals the first
eight minutes of the final frame — the first coming 10 seconds into the period and the second
eight minutes later.

Budik’s two goals knotted the game at 4-4 and May-Robinson iced the come-from-behind win
with his 15 th of the season with 2:11 to play.

Steven Kelley picked up the win in goal, kicking out 35 of the Jr. Blues’ 39 shots on goal, while
St. Louis goalie Travis Visvadra finished with 40 saves.

The Woodsmen are back in action next weekend, heading to the Kettle Moraine Ice Center in
Kettle Moraine, Wis., for a pair of NA3HL games against the league-leading West Bend Power.
Game time on both Friday and Saturday is slated for 7:30 p.m.
